After being essentially turned down by my Honda service department (where I've been a loyal customer for several years), I took my 20-year old Civic to Excellence Auto Collision on Auburn Blvd. to have a new bolt installed to replace a broken support bolt from the hinge of my trunk lid. Honda had told me such a procedure would involve a minimum of 3 hours labor, would likely not be successful, and that they would quite possibly find that I would need to replace the entire trunk lid! MARCO GUTIERREZ, the service advisor at Excellence, carefully analyzed the job and told me to get the bolt (w/washer -- $11 at Honda), bring it by, and he felt the repair likely could easily be made. I did so, and this morning they did, indeed, make the repair in less than an hour for an out-the-door cost of $125. My trunk lid has a new lease on life and is functioning like new again. Couldn't be happier!
